Wrapping Paper

I am still in the holiday mode. So let's talk about wrapping paper.

I actually got complements on my wrapping paper of gifts this year. The complement was specific, "it's very thick and printed double sided". I find it very interesting. I mean is it just wrapping paper. I thought about the wrapping paper I have encountered over the years, and I realize there were different qualities of wrapping paper.

It all comes down to how it makes you feel. The thick paper will add more luxury feeling and more "weight" to the gift. It made the whole unwrapping experience more substantial. The double sided print adds a little surprise with the different print on the other side when opened.

To make an analogy, wrapping paper is like a marketing campaign for your gifts. It provides a feeling attached to the gift. People may get more excited about the gift when opening it. Wrapping paper is an extension to the gift.

What I learned about this is - every detail matters. Whether people notice it or not, it's always good to provide it. It's all in the details, and it's what makes you stand out.
